This Privacy Policy describes how Lio (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you interact with our text-message (SMS/MMS) services.

  • Message content — the content of SMS/MMS messages you send to or receive from us.
  • Opt-in records — date, time, source, and method by which you consented to receive messages.
  • Service metadata — delivery status, timestamps, and carrier-level information returned by our messaging providers.
  • Usage information — limited analytics about how you interact with our service (e.g., response rates, message volume).

We do not collect sensitive categories of personal information (such as financial account numbers, government IDs, or health information) through our text-bot service.

  • Opt-out: You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you reply STOP, we will send a single confirmation message and will not send further marketing or promotional messages to that phone number.
  • Help: Reply HELP at any time to receive information about the service.
  • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan.

How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to operate the service:

  • Messaging providers and carriers (e.g., SMS aggregators and mobile carriers) for the sole purpose of delivering messages.
  • Service providers that help us host, monitor, or analyze the service, bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal compliance — when required by law, subpoena, or other valid legal process.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your phone number or message content with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Data Retention

We retain phone numbers, opt-in records, and message logs for as long as needed to operate the service and to comply with legal, regulatory, and carrier recordkeeping obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to withdraw consent. The simplest way to stop processing is to reply STOP to any message, which ends our messaging relationship.

Children’s Privacy

Lio’s services are not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the service where appropriate.

Terms and Conditions

By texting a Lio-powered business number, you agree to these terms.

Service. Lio provides automated SMS responses on behalf of small businesses. Responses are generated by AI based on information provided by the business. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy or uninterrupted availability.

Acceptable use. You agree not to use Lio to send spam, harass others, or violate any applicable laws. We reserve the right to block numbers that misuse the service.

Opt-out. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages. Reply HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply.

Limitation of liability. Lio is not liable for any damages arising from use of the service, including inaccurate or incomplete business information returned in automated responses.

Changes. We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
